The operator’s details are being finalized. These pages describe the current service. Paid membership remains subject to launch setup and availability on the membership page.
What we collect and why
- Account details: your email, account name and sign-in records, so you can sign in and manage your account.
- Seller submissions: your listing, data brief, seller name, role, contact email and rights declarations. We use these to review submissions and help approved buyer members discover and contact you.
- Buyer applications and activity: your company, role, contact details, stated data needs, application decision and saved listings. These support access review and your shortlist.
- Membership records, when subscriptions are enabled: payment-provider customer and subscription references, subscription status, billing periods and transaction-event references. These determine access and help resolve billing issues. Card details are entered with the payment provider; the app does not store card numbers.
- Technical and review records: session information, IP address, browser information, rate-limit records and administrative actions. These help authenticate requests, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
Information you send to support is used to investigate and respond to that request. An email is necessary to sign in; the required listing and application fields are necessary to submit those requests.
Who can see what
Authorized administrators can review listings, contact details and buyer applications. A published listing and its seller contact are available to signed-in buyers with approved, active membership. Visitors and seller accounts without that membership cannot browse the catalogue. Your shortlist belongs to your account.
Published listing details are intended to be shared with those buyers. Do not put confidential source records, credentials or unnecessary personal information in your brief. DibsOnData does not accept source-dataset uploads.
Cloudflare provides hosting and database services. Resend delivers sign-in emails, and Hostinger hosts our support inbox. When enabled, Stripe processes subscriptions. These providers receive information needed for their functions. This service does not promise storage in a particular country.
If you contact a seller or exchange samples outside DibsOnData, the other party’s handling of that information is separate. Agree confidentiality, permissions and delivery terms with them.
Cookies and drafts on your device
Sign-in cookies keep your session authenticated. The listing form also saves drafts in your browser’s local storage so you can return to them. A draft can contain the contact details and listing text you entered. Avoid preparing a private listing on a shared device.
A successfully submitted draft is removed from that browser’s draft storage. You can also clear DibsOnData’s site data in your browser settings; doing so can remove unfinished drafts and sign you out. Clearing your browser does not delete records already submitted to DibsOnData.
Keeping and removing information
Submitted records remain in the service after submission. Unpublishing a listing removes it from buyer discovery; it does not delete the stored submission, its review history or copies a buyer already obtained. There is currently no automatic account-deletion feature or published fixed deletion schedule.
To ask about access, correction or deletion, use support. Any retention decision needs to account for the service you use, open disputes, security investigations and applicable record-keeping duties. Cancelling a subscription, unpublishing a listing and deleting an account are separate actions.
Your requests and rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to object to its use. Contact support to make a request or raise a privacy concern. Use your account email to help us identify the relevant records; do not send identity documents unless requested.
You may also have a right to complain to your local data-protection authority. Nothing on this page limits rights provided by applicable law. We will update this page as the service and its processing arrangements change.
